What you need

Remove Bottom Plate. It's a sticker, thicker than you expect. Pry hard.

One T8 screw prevents the screen from rotating, remove this prior to twisting the screen out. Two T5 screws hold the electronics stack.

There is a Micro USB port hiding in the back under a plastic cover.

Attaching a USB cable to the port reveals a device that classifies itself as an "Android Device"

It is also possible by holding down all 3 buttons on the top to put the device into FASTBOOT mode. Lots more to explore here.

Remove the screen. This part sucks. Looks like it might be possible for the screen to rotate out, but its pretty stuck in. Lots of careful prying was required.
