Apple released the 4th generation iPad 12.9" in March 2020 featuring a new LiDAR camera for advanced depth measurement as well as a minor processor bump from last year’s third-gen iPad Pro.
The 4th generation iPad Pro 12.9" shares the external dimensions of the 3rd generation and has a single USB-C socket. Internally, the 4th generation has an improved rear-camera system, faster Wi-Fi, better microphones, and more entry-level storage.
The model number can be found on the back: A2229 for the Wi-Fi only model, and A2069, A2232, or A2233 for Wi-Fi plus cellular models for various markets.
