Extent of Guarantee UK
This document outlines the various levels of commercial guarantee that iFixit offers on products sold from our UK website and authorized resellers.
iFixit Guarantees
1. Lifetime Guarantee (Full Guarantee)
This iFixit product is guaranteed to function for as long as you own it.
2. 1-Year Guarantee (Limited Guarantee)
This product is guaranteed to function for one year following the date of original purchase. The guarantee period begins on the date the original order is placed, not the date the product was installed or used.
3. 1-Year Guarantee on Batteries
Most iFixit batteries are covered by a 1-year limited guarantee. This guarantee covers performance issues or defects that occur within one year of purchase, provided the battery was installed and used as intended. Because our parts are designed for DIY repairs, it is important that installation is carried out with care. Damage from incorrect installation, physical impact, liquid ingress, overheating, or other outside influences is not covered

This product is guaranteed to be as described on the product page upon arrival. If it is defective, please let us know, and we will make it right.
iFixit Specific Guarantees (UK Market)
The following commercial guarantees are granted by iFixit GmbH, Sigmaringer Straße 260, 70597 Stuttgart, Germany (“iFixit”).
Lifetime Guarantee on iFixit Tools
iFixit grants a lifetime guarantee on its tools.
This guarantee only applies to customers residing in the United Kingdom who have purchased the tool either directly from iFixit or from a commercial reseller of iFixit products. Claims under this guarantee are not transferable to third parties. iFixit guarantees the absence of defects in iFixit tools for the duration of the guarantee.
Not covered by the guarantee are:
- Damage due to improper use or storage (e.g. damp environments)
- Damage caused by excessive force or violence
- Damage to other objects caused by an iFixit tool.
In the event of a valid guarantee claim, the customer is entitled to repair or replacement of the defective tool or tool component at our discretion. If repair or replacement is no longer possible (e.g. the item is out of stock), iFixit will refund the purchase price of the tool or tool component.
Lifetime Guarantee on Spare Parts
iFixit grants a lifetime guarantee on its spare parts for smartphones, tablets, and Mac computers, excluding rechargeable batteries.
“Lifetime” refers to the lifetime of the device in which the iFixit spare part is installed. This guarantee applies only to customers residing in the United Kingdom who have bought the part for their own device either directly from iFixit or from an authorized reseller. Claims under this guarantee are not transferable to third parties. iFixit guarantees that its spare parts are free of defects for the duration of the device’s lifetime.
Not covered by the guarantee are:
- Damage due to installation errors, liquid ingress, or undue force.
- Damage caused by 'jailbreaks' or software defects.
- Use with non-compatible devices.
- Damage from third-party hardware (e.g. defective power adapters).
- Damage to the device itself caused by a defective iFixit part.
In the event of a valid guarantee case, the customer is entitled at iFixit’s discretion to repair or replacement of the defective part. If replacement is no longer possible (e.g. the part is out of stock), iFixit may repair the part or refund 50% of the purchase price.
These commercial guarantees are offered in addition to your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (CRA).Your statutory rights remain unaffected by the commercial guarantee. If iFixit definitively ceases trading, this guarantee and any claims under it will no longer apply.
Guarantee Claims
To make a claim under this commercial guarantee, the customer must notify iFixit of the issue, preferably by describing the defect or damage, via email, contact form, or mail to: iFixit GmbH, Sigmaringer Straße 260, 70597 Stuttgart, Germany.
Upon request, the customer must send the tool or spare part in question together with a copy of the invoice. The item must be properly packaged to avoid transit damage.
In a valid guarantee case, iFixit will reimburse reasonable shipping costs against proof (e.g. a postal receipt).
