Introduction
The spinning brush on the iRobot Roomba 690 is used to help sweep debris towards the roller brushes. Over time, it may need to be replaced or cleaned. This guide will explain how to replace the spinning brush. Removing the spinning brush is required when accessing components of the Roomba concealed inside the protective bottom cover, and as such performing these steps will be required to complete other guides.

Place the Roomba upside down so that the wheels and brushes are facing upward.

Loosen the captive screw in the spinning brush using a Phillips #0 screwdriver.

Remove the spinning brush from the vacuum.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
