Installing iPod Touch 3rd Generation Power/Volume Controls

This guide is only intended to be used as a prerequisite for other guides. It's incomplete by itself.

What you need

  1. Installing iPod Touch 3rd Generation Power/Volume Controls, Power/Volume Controls: step 1, image 1 of 1

    • Remove the two Phillips screws securing the power/volume controls to the rear panel.

  3. Installing iPod Touch 3rd Generation Power/Volume Controls: step 2, image 1 of 1

    • Use the tip of a spudger to remove the yellow kapton tape covering the power/volume control ribbon cable.

  4. Installing iPod Touch 3rd Generation Power/Volume Controls: step 3, image 1 of 1

    • Remove the two Phillips screws securing the power/volume controls to the rear panel.

    • Lift the power/volume controls out of the rear panel.
