Installing iMac Intel 21.5" EMC 2389 IR Board

Introduction

Use this guide to replace the IR board.

  1. Installing iMac Intel 21.5" EMC 2389 IR Board, IR Board: step 1, image 1 of 1

    • Remove the piece of tape covering the IR board cable.

  3. Installing iMac Intel 21.5" EMC 2389 IR Board: step 2, image 1 of 1

    • Use your thumbs to push the IR board connector toward the top edge of the iMac and out of its socket on the logic board.

  4. Installing iMac Intel 21.5" EMC 2389 IR Board: step 3, image 1 of 1

    • Pull the IR board out from behind the front face of the iMac's outer case.

    • Remove the IR board.
