  • Turn the device over with its display down.

  • Unscrew the two (2) #00, 10 mm screws located below the mic on the back cover.

  • Carefully pry up the top end of the back cover using one finger.

  • Remove the back plate by using a plastic removal tool to pry the back cover up around the edges.

Image 1/1: Speaker soldering points are located on the thin section of the blue circuit board, and are marked with “SP+” and “SP-”.
  • De-solder the white and black speaker wires from their soldering points.

  • Speaker soldering points are located on the thin section of the blue circuit board, and are marked with “SP+” and “SP-”.

  • Keep in mind which color wire was connected at which terminal.

  • Replace the damaged speaker and re-solder to the original solder points.
