Introduction

This guide will help you through the step-by-step process of replacing the LCD screen. The screen is connected directly to the motherboard and assembled with the front frame. You can look at the teardown guide for the device to learn how to teardown it.

  • Remove the two screws from the end of the device where the ports are located.

Image 1/1: Insert the tip of a plastic opening tool into the small gap between grey and white plastic and pry open (You should hear the clips opening up).
  • Rest the tablet on its glass face.

  • Open the ZIF connector, the black locker part over the wire ribbon in the motherboard and remove the wire ribbon which connects the motherboard and the screen.

  • Now you can remove the motherboard and replace with a new one.

  • Use the pry bar the detach the click between the front frame and metal loader.
