Pull out the connector, be careful and only pull the connector and not the wires to avoid damaging them in the process. The battery is fixed in place with double sided tape. I suppose you’ve already found them over a year after your question, but for anybody new to this tutorial: they are easily found on websites such as Aliexpress or Ebay, since Ifixit unfortunately doesn't sell them.
