Introduction

The Brother HL-5240 printer comes standard with 16 megabytes of memory. The following steps can be followed to add more memory. Up to 528 MB of ram can be added.

Flip the power switch to the off position by pressing the side of the button with an "O" symbol. Unplug the printer's cord from the wall socket.

Deck the Halls
With tools and Fix Kits
Locate the small removable panel on the left side of the printer. Press the tab at the top of the panel. Pull the panel open.

  • Press the tab at the top of the panel.

  • Pull the panel open.

  • Pull the old RAM out of its slot and insert the new RAM in its place.
