Introduction

In this guide you will learn how to disassemble your headphones in order to replace the broken microphone.

Follow Guide [Turtle Beach X12 Ear Pads Replacement] to remove ear pad. Use a T3 screwdriver to remove the three 1.10 mm screws around the speaker. Indicated on the first picture.

  • Open the top panel carefully.

  • Caution Wires are very delicate and can be broken easily

Remove the 5 mm screw, indicated on the picture, with a Phillips #00 screwdriver to gain access to the microphone. Note You may need to carefully pull the wire  to reach to screw.

Cut the microphone wire, as indicated in the first picture, with  pliers in order to remove damaged microphone. Apply heat to the soldered wires, as indicated in the second picture, of the microphone in order to remove them.

Insert the new microphone and solder the wires into the correct positions. Position the speaker on the headset so the screw holes are aligned.
