Introduction

In this guide you will learn how to disassemble your headphones in order to replace the broken microphone.

  1. Follow Guide [Turtle Beach X12 Ear Pads Replacement] to remove ear pad.

    • Use a T3 screwdriver to remove the three 1.10 mm screws around the speaker. Indicated on the first picture.

    • Open the top panel carefully.

    • Caution Wires are very delicate and can be broken easily

  2. Remove the 5 mm screw, indicated on the picture, with a Phillips #00 screwdriver to gain access to the microphone.

    • Note You may need to carefully pull the wire to reach to screw.

    • Cut the microphone wire, as indicated in the first picture, with pliers in order to remove damaged microphone.

    • Apply heat to the soldered wires, as indicated in the second picture, of the microphone in order to remove them.

    • Insert the new microphone and solder the wires into the correct positions.

    • Position the speaker on the headset so the screw holes are aligned.

    • Reassemble the pieces.
