What you need

  1. Trackpad Cable Detachment, Detach the trackpad cable: step 1, image 1 of 3 Trackpad Cable Detachment, Detach the trackpad cable: step 1, image 2 of 3 Trackpad Cable Detachment, Detach the trackpad cable: step 1, image 3 of 3

    • Small bits of mild adhesive secure the trackpad cable to the frame.

    • Gently pull up to detach the trackpad cable from the frame.

    • You can also use an opening pick to loosen the adhesive.

    • During reassembly, you may need to apply new adhesive if the old adhesive is no longer sticky.
