Introduction

This is a guide that will assist you with replacing your RAM in a Toshiba Satellite C55-C5240.

Image 1/3: Unscrew the two 6.5mm PH1 Phillips head screws below the battery. Image 2/3: Unscrew the two 6.5mm PH1 Phillips head screws below the battery. Image 3/3: Unscrew the two 6.5mm PH1 Phillips head screws below the battery.
  • Make sure you turn off the laptop before starting.

  • Unscrew the two 6.5mm PH1 Phillips head screws below the battery.

  • Pull the battery out, keeping it flat and parallel to the laptop so that it slides out easily.

  • Unscrew the ten 6.5mm PH1 Phillips head screws that hold down the back cover.

  • Using the plastic opening tools, open the back cover and remove it from the laptop.
