Toshiba Satellite C55-B5200 RAM Replacement

Introduction

How to replace the RAM on a Toshiba Satellite C55-B5200 laptop.

What you need

  1. Toshiba Satellite C55-B5200 RAM Replacement, Battery: step 1, image 1 of 1

    • Turn the laptop off and remove all sources of power.

    • Flip the laptop over so that way the bottom is facing towards you.

    • Remove the two 6.6mm Phillips #0 screws from the battery.

  2. Toshiba Satellite C55-B5200 RAM Replacement: step 2, image 1 of 1

    • Pull the battery out of the laptop.

  4. Toshiba Satellite C55-B5200 RAM Replacement, RAM: step 3, image 1 of 1

    • Flex the metal retaining clips on the side of the RAM away from one another.

    • If done correctly, the RAM will pop out of its lock.

  5. Toshiba Satellite C55-B5200 RAM Replacement: step 4, image 1 of 1

    • Pull the RAM out of the socket to remove.

So the complete bottom panel doesn’t need to be removed to access the memory? The bottom panel that is held in place by another 8 screws?
