Introduction

This guide will go through the steps needed to install a new LCD panel.

  • Turn the computer over onto its back.

  • Remove the battery by sliding it out while both locks remain in the unlock position.

  • Use a plastic opening tool to unsnap the right hand side speaker cover.

  • Remove the rest of the cover by sliding it to the right and lifting the edge.

Image 1/2: Only 7 of these plastic covers will contain screws underneath. Image 2/2: Unscrew all screws with a Phillips head #00 screwdriver.
  • Remove all 8 plastic circular covers on the plastic screen bezel.

  • Only 7 of these plastic covers will contain screws underneath.

  • Unscrew all screws with a Phillips head #00 screwdriver.

  • Seven 3.5 mm fine thread screws.

Image 1/2: Pull at the top edge of the LCD to separate it from the top part of the case. Image 2/2: Separate the casing and the LCD only by an inch, since there are still wires connecting them.
  • Use a plastic opening tool to separate the screen bezel from the rest of the case.

  • Use tweezers to remove lcd cable from the inverter.
