What you need

  1.     • Use a tweezer to push in on the crimp connector that is located in the fan header. Take out the connector

    • If difficulty occurs, try pushing on the connector through the notch of the fan header.

    • Using a wire stripper, strip a wire jacket to expose some wires.

    • There should be around 1/4 of an inch of wire exposed.

    • Twist the exposed wire.

    • Ensure that the jacket is tightly seated in the connector.

    • Ensure that the exposed wire is touching the connector.

    • Using pliers, crimp down on the connector and the wire.

    • Ensure that the connector is pushed all the way in.

    • Tug on the fan header to test the connection.
