TSC Printer Latch Replacement

What you need

    • Begin by turning off your printer and unplugging your printer so that you have full access to it.

    • Open the printer cover.

    • Open the carriage by actuating the green handle.

    • Remove the two screws highlighted in red.

    • The blue plastic piece is what will need to be replaced to get spring tension to hold the print head down.

    • Remove the two screws denoted in red.

    • Remove the screw denoted in orange.

    • You will now be able to remove the bracket holding the print roller in by wiggling them both out.

    • Remove the three screws attaching holding the assembly to the printer.

    • The assembly has two cables running in to the printer and will no longer be supported by the screws.

    • There are four screws holding the cover on: two denoted in red and two on the rear of the printer.

    • Once you have the cover off, disconnect the cable.

    • Now you can feed the cable through the hole.

    • Slide the sensor off of the assembly by pushing the sensor in the direction of the red arrow.

    • You now have access to the full assembly and can replace the broken piece.

    • There is a spring that adds tension to the print head retention bar. Ensure that it is properly installed into the replacement piece.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
