This guide shows you how to disassemble one of these slightly older TCM laminators from Tchibo. This thing is built like a tank, so don't be afraid of the disassembly; just use common sense and you'll manage it.

What you need

Place the laminator on a flat work surface.

Gather your tools:

Phillips screwdriver

Spudger
-
Opening tool(s)
Ask FixBot

Flip the laminator over so that the back is facing up.

Look for the four rubber feet.

Carefully pry the rubber feet out with a spudger.

-
Release the five screws using a Phillips screwdriver.

-
Insert an opening tool of your choice (spudger, opening pick, or plastic card) into the notch marked in red and carefully pry the lower half of the housing away from the other.

Remove the lower half of the housing completely once the two parts have been separated.

Carefully pull the laminating unit out of the housing.
-

-
Carefully release the two Phillips screws.
-
Now you can remove the motor.
