Introduction

In this guide you will remove the back cover of the tablet to gain access to the speakers inside. Then you will remove the speakers from the device by desoldering them from the motherboard.

First, separate the halves by wedging it open with the wedger.

Next, carefully remove the display ribbons from the motherboard by using tweezers.

Then, remove the battery from the back cover by using the wedging tool.

Now pop off the speakers with the wedger. Remove 3 Philips screws from the motherboard and then remove the motherboard.

Lastly, make sure you have removed all of the excess pieces from the back cover.

  • Insert the Metal Spudger between the speakers and the back cover and then lift each speaker out of their compartments

  • Be sure to wear protective eye wear. Also, keep in mind that the soldering iron will become extremely hot.
