Introduction
As the TESA tape rolls tend to stick together at the sides or bend easily due to their thin structure (1 - 8 mm), storage is not without its problems.
An inexpensive and simple solution is to use CD's/DVD's as spacers.
The diameter fits perfectly.
The tapes tend to stick to the carrier material themselves, the tapes can also be stacked by adding more CDs and the material can be unrolled between the CDs. They are well stored together in a ZIP-Lock bag.
What you need
-
-
Place a CD on a flat surface
-
Place a TESA tape roll on the middle of the CD.
-
Repeat - first CD, then tape roll - until you've stacked all of the tapes.
-
Make sure the tape rolls are all aligned so they're stable standing up.
-
Store the stack in a ziplock bag, ideally with a small bag of desiccant (e.g. silica gel) to prevent moisture.
-
-
This way, you can take out the tapes individually later without them getting stuck to each other.
