Introduction
This guide shows you how to tighten the steering assembly on a V1 and V2 Boogie. After time the screws can be come loose which causes the steering arm to slip slightly on the shaft which will means towing is more difficult and follow and summon mode are not as accurate.
What you need
-
-
-
Tighten the two small allen grub screws on the back side of the steering arm
-
If needed, these grub screws can be removed and re-tapped with M6 screws for more strength. A workshop of competent DIY can perform this task.
-
-
-
-
While doing maintenance check that the Boogies GPS antenna is properly attached.
-
If it is loose then use double sided tape (like 3m VHB) to reattach. Clean surfaces first.
-
If a small thing that looks like a coin cell battery comes off, discard this - it is a small magnet and not needed for operation.
-
-
After tightening the grub screws and steering arm screws the steering arm should be tight on the shaft. There still will be a small amount of play from the movement in the actuator.
