Introduction
This guide provides instructions on how to replace the Wi-Fi card on the Lenovo IdeaPad Y580-2099 laptop. Removing this part does not require any specialized training or experience as long as the steps are followed closely.
What you need

Make sure the laptop is powered off and disconnected from the charger.

Flip the laptop upside down so that the bottom faces up.

Place your thumbs on each side of the laptop and slide the tabs into the unlock position.

Once tabs are in the unlock position, carefully slide the battery out of the compartment.

-
Use a Phillips #0 screwdriver to unscrew and remove the two 8 mm screws (highlighted in red) that secure the back panel in place.

Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the two 3 mm screws that secure the Wi-Fi card in place.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
