    Anti-Static Wrist Strap

    • Attach an anti-static wrist strap to a piece of metal to prevent possible short circuiting.

    • Use a spudger to press in the black clips that lock the keyboard in place.

    • As you press in the black clips, remove the screws near the motherboard using the screwdriver.

    • Do not remove the motherboard.

    • Using the metal spudger, pick a corner and carefully begin to pop off the keyboard.

    • It is normal to hear a soft clicking sound as the keyboard releases from the device.

    • Two cables are attached to two white inserts to keep the keyboard anchored in place once the clips have been removed, and to keep the keyboard attached to the motherboard.

    • Unplug the thin cable by just simply pulling the cable straight out of the connector.

    • Leave the thicker white cable alone.

    • To fully release the old keyboard, lift the black wedge clip by using the spudger tool to press down on the clip and release the wider cable.
