Introduction
Unlike many other laptops, the Sony Vaio Fit SVF15N26CXB has its battery within the laptop and thus is not as easy to remove as pulling it out of the back of the computer. This guide will show you how to properly remove the battery. Be sure to use the static wrist strap (shown in the guide) as a precautionary measure and recycle the battery. Also, use the magnetic project mat to keep your screws organized.
What you need

Remove the following ten screws from the bottom case of the laptop:

Two 6.5mm Phillips #00 Phillips screws.

Four 8.95mm Phillips #00 screws.

Four 6.25mm Phillips #00 screws.

Use a plastic opening tool to separate the bottom cover from the laptop.

Lift the lower cover and pull away from the laptop.

Remove six (6) 4.65mm PH00 Phillips head screws from the battery.

Remove two (2) 4.65mm PH00 Phillips head screws that have metal foil attachments. Be careful when removing them so you do not tear the metal foiling that connects to the battery.

Remove the eight Phillips #00 screws from the battery:

Six 4.65mm screws.

Two 4.65mm screws.
