Sony Playstation 2 SCPH-79002 - Front Cover Replacement

Introduction

This machine is a childhood memory, it had classical games like GTA SA, Tomb Raider and Shadow of the Colossus! Though unfortunately, your Playstation 2's front cover broke. Fortunately this guide will show you how to replace your broken front cover!

What you need

  1. Sony Playstation 2 SCPH-79002 - Front Cover Replacement, Flip over your system: step 1, image 1 of 1

    • Flip your machine over to the back.

    • You'll see some outlined grey tabs on the outline of the back, get a spudger or something flat to pop them off.

    • There is a warranty sticker on the bottom that shows a tab, peeling it off will VOID your warranty.

    • When you take off all the tabs, there should be a Phillip Head screw under each tab, unscrew them.

    • Once you have unscrew them, gently take off the front cover of the Playstation 2.
