Introduction
Have the volume buttons on your Sony PRS-505 become stuck, cracked, or physically fallen out of the main frame? The outer buttons (pushers) can wear out or be accidentally damaged over years of use.
This guide is to specifically to help you locate the volume buttons and replace them. It will only take about 5 minutes. This will allow you to comfortably control your audiobooks or TTS (text-to-speech) functions once again.
Caution: Replacing the outer buttons requires partial disassembly of the device. Since the aged plastic is brittle, use a spudger and work carefully to avoid scratching the surrounding bezel when separating the frame components.
