Introduction

When removing the screen, you may want to use gloves so that no glass shards cut your hands.

  1. Unscrew two 5 mm Phillips #00 screws using a Phillips #00 screwdriver located on the bottom of the back of the device.
    • Unscrew two 5 mm Phillips #00 screws using a Phillips #00 screwdriver located on the bottom of the back of the device.

  2. Using a plastic opening tool, loosen the bottom portion of device.
    • Using a plastic opening tool, loosen the bottom portion of device.

    • Using a plastic opening tool, loosen the top panel of the device.

    • Remove two 3 mm Philips #00 screws using a Phillips #00 screwdriver located on the portion under the top panel of the device.

    • Remove back plate from device.

    • Remove plastic USB cover using tweezers and spudger.

    • Unscrew two 2 mm Philips #00 screws using a Phillips #00 screwdriver located on the top corners of the device.

    • Remove plastic protective plate at top of device using tweezers and spudger.

    Add Comment

    • Remove plastic protective frame located over the motherboard using tweezers and spudger.

    • Remove screen connection from motherboard using tweezers and spudger.

    • Remove two 3 mm Philips #00 screws at the bottom sides and two 1 mm Philips #00 screws at top sides of the device using a Phillips #00 screwdriver.

    • Using a Phillips #00 screwdriver, unscrew two 2 mm Philips #00 screws and remove motherboard from device using tweezers and prying tool.

    • Disconnect metal plate from front panel of device using tweezers.

    • Using a prying tool, remove screen from metal back plate.

    Add Comment

Conclusion

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
