Introduction

By following this guide one is able to access and remove the battery of the Skytex Skypad Alpha 2 tablet in two steps. These steps include removing soldered connections and the removing of the battery itself.

Power off the tablet.
  • Power off the tablet.

  • Unplug the tablet from the power source if it is connected.

Remove the (4) 3.5mm screws using a phillips #000 screwdriver. Remove the (4) 3.5mm screws using a phillips #000 screwdriver.

Use the plastic opening tool to work your way around the tablet, releasing the back case from the tabs.

Release the back case from the rest of the tablet with your hand.

  • Do not pry the case too hard; doing so can damage the tablet.

Remove soldered connections to separate the battery wires from the motherboard.

  • Remove all black and yellow tape, if necessary, on motherboard.

  • Following the red and black wires, that come out of the battery, to their respective connections on the motherboard will indicate where to solder.
