Introduction

This guide can be used to replace or improve RAM (Random Access Memory) in a Toshiba Satellite L650

What you need

Step 1 Remove Battery

(Right Side-Image 1) Pull clip outwards until it sticks
(Left side-Image 1/2) While pulling clip outwards, pull the battery with your other hand.
When re-assembling, push the battery in then engage right clip (red box)

Step 2

(Image 1) Unscrew the screw with a Phillips Head #00
(Image 2) Two clips are located at the top. Dissengage them and lift the panel.
A spudger can be used, but is not required.
When re-assembling, put the clips of the cover in first, then screw

Step 3

Push the clips on the side out
Pull the RAM out of the slot
Only hold the RAM from the side
When re-assembling, make sure to put the RAM the right way up. Insert it into the slot then push down.
