  • Make sure the camera is off by pressing the small square button on the top of the camera.

  • Slide the plate on the bottom right side of the camera to the right.

  • The battery is the rectangular black object. Gently move the small notch out of the way to remove the battery.

    • Note: During reassembly, there is an arrow on the battery indicating which way it goes in.

  • For this step, use a #00 Philip screwdriver. If you have a kit, search for the screwdriver labeled PH00.

  • Carefully remove the 6 screws that hold the back plate to the body of the camera using a #00 Philip screwdriver.

  • Remove only the screws holding the rear panel to the body of the camera. Remove 2 screws on the bottom (closest to the screen) and 2 on each of the sides. These are highlighted in the photos provided.

  • Place screws in a secure area to ensure they are not lost.

  • Caution: Be careful not to damage the three green cables as you remove the rear panel of the camera.

  • Do not use excessive force when removing the rear panel as this could break the paneling.

  • Carefully pry the rear panel away from the left side using the pry tool around the perimeter of the camera.

  • Use caution not to damage ribbon when disconnecting.

  • The yellow ribbon is attached to the right side of the screen and goes to a black connector piece.

  • Gently flip the black connector away from the LCD screen to unlock the yellow ribbon.

  • Carefully pull the yellow ribbon towards the LCD screen to disconnect it.

  • The LCD screen should now be disconnected from the rest of the camera and a pry tool can be used to lift it out of its casing.

  • Follow all steps in reverse order to reassemble.

  • Insert new LCD screen.

  • Use caution when reattaching yellow ribbon. Make sure ribbon is fully attached and black connector is pressed down.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
