Use this guide to replace the function set.

Image 1/1: Slide the battery door to the right until the door lifts up.
  • Place your thumb on the right side of the camera over the battery door.

  • Slide the battery door to the right until the door lifts up.

  • Remove and recycle old batteries.

Image 1/3: Two screws are on the left side of the camera. Image 2/3: Two screws are on the right side of the camera. Image 3/3: Two screws are on the bottom of the camera.
  • Unscrew 6 Phillips screws using the #00 Phillips screwdriver.

    • Two screws are on the left side of the camera.

    • Two screws are on the right side of the camera.

    • Two screws are on the bottom of the camera.

Image 1/2: Remove the 4 mm phillips screw on the bottom right using the #00 phillips screwdriver. Image 2/2: Remove the 4 mm phillips screw on the bottom right using the #00 phillips screwdriver.
  • Open battery slot on the bottom of the camera by sliding the door to the right.

  • Remove the 4 mm phillips screw on the bottom right using the #00 phillips screwdriver.

Image 1/3: Gently separate the rear case from the front of the camera. Image 2/3: Gently separate the rear case from the front of the camera. Image 3/3: Gently separate the rear case from the front of the camera.
  • Insert spudger in the seam at the bottom of the camera.

    • Gently separate the rear case from the front of the camera.

Image 1/1: Using the #00 phillips screwdriver remove the screw attached to the front casing in the top left corner. Front case should easily separate.
  • This step is only needed for the case and logic board replacement

  • Using the #00 phillips screwdriver remove the screw attached to the front casing in the top left corner. Front case should easily separate.

Skip this step for the function set replacement.

  • This step is only needed for the case replacement.

  • Using the #00 phillips screwdriver remove the screw on the inside of the battery door.

  • Slide the battery door off of the hinge.

This step is needed only for the case replacement.

Image 1/2: The function strip is now free from the camera. Image 2/2: The function strip is now free from the camera.
  • Remove the function set strip by lifting it from the inside of the rear case.

  • The function strip is now free from the camera.
