Introduction

RAM replacement may need to be done when computer gets slow or RAM is damaged. Also upgrading RAM requires this guide as well. This guide will display steps to replace RAM.

  • Place the laptop upside down.

Image 1/2: Slide both battery locking notches to either side to remove the battery. Image 2/2: Pull the battery out.

  • Using the Phillips #0 screwdriver, unscrew the one 5mm screw.

Image 1/1: RAM will pop up by itself. If not, lift the RAM up to about 45 degrees.
  • Slide the hinges outwards to release the RAM.

Image 1/2: Repeat step 4 to remove another RAM. Image 2/2: Repeat step 4 to remove another RAM.
  • Carefully slide the RAM away from the slot to remove it.
