Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime Screen and digitizer Replacement

What you need

  1. Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime Screen and digitizer Replacement, Screen and digitizer: step 1, image 1 of 1
    • Remove the battery, SIM card, and memory card.

    • Heat up sides of phone. Be careful not to heat up too long!

  3. Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime Screen and digitizer Replacement, Carefully remove the screen from the digitizer: step 3, image 1 of 1
    • Make sure to remove the digitizer cable connection from the back. Pop the tab on the back to expose the connector.

    • When lifting screen it will be connected to the digitizer from the back care fully hold screen and use plastic pry bar to lift digitizer do not force if it is not coming up stop put screen down and reheat until glue is melted enough to easily release digitizer.

    • Make sure you have the screen and digitizer lined up. Be careful it is fragile. Put screen an digitizer back into phone and use heat gun to heat glue and push screen on to phone frame.

Conclusion

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.

My samsung galaxy grand prime fell down and the upper touch glass broke and had cracks in it. I had it replaced by a mobile technician. After i got it back the screen wasnt fixed as it popped out and i had to put it in its position....now the cellfone isnt working as if its dead....i tried to hold vloume up+home+power button, but no result.kindly help me out.

Your screen cable may be unplugged take it back tell them to fix it.

I may get them mixed up but I am sure that the black part is the digitizer and the LCD are the same I meant glass.

Very confusing…… there are 2 parts to this phones screen….. The top glass which is the Digitizer, and the display below it that displays the picture, commonly referred to as the LCD. You constantly refer to the LCD as the digitizer……… its not. On many galaxy phones the digitizer IS part of the LCD but on this model it is not.
