In this guide, you will learn how to replace the battery in your Samsung Galaxy Camera 2. Replacing the battery can fix a number of problems you were having with your camera; the camera wont stay charged like it used to, the camera doesn't charge at all, or the camera wont start. Also, removing the battery is an essential part of taking apart the rest of the camera to change any other part. You wouldn't want to risk getting shocked!
No parts required.
Orient the camera such that the camera's lens is facing the user, and the battery door is facing up, on the right side.
There is a small latch on the battery door close to the right hand edge of the camera. Slide the latch in toward the center of the camera releasing the battery door. The battery door will spring open.
The battery is the black cell in the center of this compartment, held in by a small spring clip (indicated by an outfacing arrow). Pull this clip toward you to release the battery.
Take the old battery out and discard according to local regulations as this battery contains harmful materials.
When replacing the battery locate the contact orientation and ensure that the positive (red) and negative (orange) terminals of the battery are aligned properly with those of the camera. There is a small icon indicating the correct orientation.
If you need a new battery, insert it now.
In one smooth motion like the superhero that you are, close the outer door and slide the battery door latch towards the outside of the camera.
