If your phone's screen is cracked, this guide will help you step by step on how to replace the screen.

To open the back cover of the phone, use your fingernail or plastic opening tool under the slit to pull the cover up.

  • Use the Phillips #00 Precision Screwdriver to remove the six screws in the back of the phone.

  • Keep track of the screws by using a small cup, box, or magnetic mat.

  • Place the Plastic Opening tools on the outside rim of the inside back cover and carefully pry up on the screen.

  • As you lift the cover, move around the phone and pry up all of the screen.

  • Carefully disconnect the ribbon cables and slowly lift the inside back cover to remove it.

  • Lift the motherboard slowly.

  • Carefully disconnect the volume button away from the motherboard.

  • Disconnect the two ribbon cables from the back of the motherboard.

  • Pull back on the five clips on the sides of the phone to remove the shield.

  • Be careful not to break the ribbon cables.

  • Use the plastic opening tool to unlatch the ribbon cable to disconnect it.

  • Put the plastic opening tool under the edge of the screen and lift the screen up carefully.

  • Insert new screen into the phone frame and reconnect the ribbon cable.

  • Repeat step one to seven in reverse to reassemble the phone
