What you need

  1. Saeco Vienna Sup 018 support valve descaling, Prepare descaling liquid: step 1, image 1 of 1
    • Prepare descaling liquid (see comments) and fill it into the water tank (as with the usual descaling according to the instructions)

    • Set volume control (green) to minimum (all the way to the left)

    • Press and hold the steam button until the LED next to the coffee cup lights up (yellow mark)

    • The brew group is now in the brewing position and the support valve (pink) is activated.

    • The quantity regulation remains at minimum.

    • Place a (large) empty cup under the spout

    • Press and hold the coffee button until the pump dispenses approximately one cup of liquid. For information: The error display flashes approx. 600 times for 200ml of water.

    • wait about 20 minutes ( to take full effect)

    • Pump out the rest of the descaling liquid in cups, pausing the pumping with 3-minute breaks.

    • Rinse out the water tank and fill it up with clear water

    • Pour off a few cups of water as in the last step, rinsing out the remains of the citric acid.

    • Set the volume control to the middle and hold down the steam button until the LED next to the coffee button lights up. The brew group is now back in its original position.

    • Switch off the machine and switch it on again as usual - Descaling complete.
