Introduction

A Roku 2 model (2720R, ******2720RW) remote may stop working due to low or dead batteries. The batteries provide the power to the remote to control the Roku 2. In order to ensure your Roku remotes use, changing the batteries could be needed from time to time. Follow the steps below in order to change the batteries to your Roku 2 remote. After inserting the new batteries, dispose of the old batteries in a trash can.

  1. Turn over remote and press down on tab to remove.
    • Turn over remote and press down on tab to remove.

  2. Remove batteries
    • Remove batteries

  3. Place the new batteries into the remote. Make sure the positive terminal is facing the positive terminal of the slot. Similarly the negative terminal should be touching the negative terminal. If done right the batteries should be facing opposite directions of each other.
    • Place the new batteries into the remote. Make sure the positive terminal is facing the positive terminal of the slot. Similarly the negative terminal should be touching the negative terminal. If done right the batteries should be facing opposite directions of each other.

    • Insert Roku tab back on to its slot.

Conclusion

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
