Rinarang OT-89 Battery Replacement

Introduction

The Ringarang Portable Charger also serves as a hand warmer with the use of a rechargeable battery. However, this battery can become stagnant with time and use, requiring a replacement. Make sure that the hand warmers are not on, indicated by a glowing red light when removing the back lid of the device. Doing so will cause extreme danger when handling the battery. Also, make sure to use all tools slowly to avoid accidental injuries. This means carefully applying super glue and using the soldering iron.

Tweezers

Carefully use the tweezers to go along the edge of the device and pry the back lid open slowly.

When the device is open, carefully apply pressure to remove the battery by lifting it slowly removing it from the shell casing.
Disconnect the red and black wires by applying the same amount of pressure and lifting slowly.

Take the new battery and put a piece of electrical tape on both the red and black wires to ensure they do not move around when replacing the battery.

Using precaution, use the soldering iron to reinforce the red and black wires to the motherboard. Let it cool for about 5 minutes and ensure that the wires and battery are connected correctly by making sure none are loose or disconnected.

Using super glue, the bottom of the battery should be glued to the plastic inside of the shell casing.
Let cool for 10 minutes and pull to make sure the replacement battery is properly glued down.

Ensure all components are properly fitted and placed so that the battery does not move around inside the plastic case of the device.

Add super glue all along the edge of the top lid of the device and apply pressure for 1 min as the lid clicks back into place.
Make sure to clean any residue that is left on the outer edges of the device.

Check if the device works properly by clicking once to charge and twice for the hand-warming feature. A warm sensation will be felt, letting you know you have successfully replaced the battery!
