Replacing IBM ThinkPad 560z RAM

How to remove the RAM for repairs or replacement.

What you need

  1. Replacing IBM ThinkPad 560z RAM, Battery Removal: step 1, image 1 of 1

    • Slide the battery release latch to the right.

    • Pull out the battery out towards the front of the device.

    • Remove a single phillips head screw.

    • Lift the cover to reveal the RAM.

    • Use your fingers to push apart the clamps holding the RAM.

    • Use your fingers to pull out the RAM.
