Introduction
Prior to shipping, technicians should confirm that the pressure (measured in Pound-Force per Square Inch, or PSI) remains within the recommended range to ensure safe transport.
The ideal pressure during recovery is below 100 PSI. Pressures exceeding 100 is acceptable, but should be avoided.
Pressures exceeding 375 PSI may result in hazardous conditions and possible fines to the organization.
If the pressure of a tank exceeds the recommended 375 PSI, the gases may be transferred to another tank. To reduce the pressure in a tank cylinder, perform the following steps.
