What you need

  1. RedMax BCZ3050S Spark Plug Replacement, Spark Plug: step 1, image 1 of 1
    • Look for the black plastic cover with ridges on the top of the brush cutter. Your fingers should be enough to pull the plastic off, but you may use a flat head screwdriver instead.

    • Lift and separate the black plastic ridge covering from the spark plug..

    • Notice the spark plug still attached inside.

    • Use a 3/8 in wrench to grip and twist the spark plug counterclockwise until it loosens and take it out.

    • You can use slip-joint pliers to perform the removal of the spark plug if you don't have a wrench.

    • Insert the new spark plug and twist it in a clockwise motion until it is tight.

    • Use the wrench or pliers and twist the spark plug in a clockwise direction to ensure a tight fit before placing the cover on top of the spark plug.

    • Attach the bottom of the plastic cover to the top of the spark plug.

    • Firmly push down on top of the spark plug with the cover. This is enough pressure to connect the new spark plug to the machine.

    • Once the cover is fully inserted, the repair is complete.
