  • Unlock all of the tabs holding the fan cage together.

  • Using a Phillips #2 screwdriver, untighten the 1/4'' screw that is located underneath the fan blade.

  • Rotate the black cap counter-clockwise to disconnect it from the back fan cage.

  • Using the Phillips #2 screwdriver, separate the wire holder from the back of black cover by removing the two 1/8'' screws.

  • Pull of the black knob by rotating the knob counter-clockwise.

Image 1/2: Realign the metal coil into designated space. Image 2/2: Push the coil in with some force so it rests perfectly in the space.
  • Take out the gold metal spring.
