From time to time, the rechargeable battery in this mouse will need to be replaced. This replacement is quite simple and straight forward. Only one piece must be removed in order to access the battery. Please note, this device can only use rechargeable batteries. If there has been damage to the battery, contacting the Razer Tech support is the best option.

For this job, you will need the PH 00 screwdriver. That is the only tool needed here.

No parts required.

Begin by turning the mouse upside down.
  • Begin by turning the mouse upside down.

  • Loosen the two captive screws circled in the first image.

  • These screws do NOT come out, they merely loosen.

  • Slide the palm rest toward the back of the mouse. It should slide down its track and come right off.

There’s also a version that has no screws to undo, just disregard the second step and follow the rest of the guide

  • The battery compartment is on the back side and is easily viewed once the palm rest is removed. Simply push up gently and the hinged battery door opens from the bottom

  • Place the new battery into circular slot shown in the picture. The battery should be placed in positive side first.

  • You must use rechargeable batteries in this mouse.

… what happens if I don't use a rechargeable battery?

Its fine… You just need to remember not to put it on the recharging base… and the battery will be basically dead after 24 hour use.

The screws don’t actually need to be removed you only need to hold down the button that adjusts the length.
