What you need

  1. Raspberry Pi 3 SD Card Replacement, Raspberry Pi 3 SD Card replacement.: step 1, image 1 of 1
    • The Raspberry Pi 3 should look like this closed.

  2. Raspberry Pi 3 SD Card Replacement, Top cover removal: step 2, image 1 of 1
    • Open the top lid like I have done on the image.

    • The top is marked that you are gonna remove in the next step.

  3. Raspberry Pi 3 SD Card Replacement, Cover for GPIO Hider and IO Shield removal: step 3, image 1 of 1
    • Now remove the cover for the two covers.

    • It should look like the image.

    • I have marked the covers for the next step.

  4. Raspberry Pi 3 SD Card Replacement, IO Shield and GPIO Hider removal: step 4, image 1 of 1
    • Remove the two sides.

    • It should look like the image.

    • Now we should successfully have removed the case.

    • Notice that the side shown on the first image is the one that we are intrested in.

    • When we have flipped the Pi 3 over we can remove the SD card.

On the official RPi case there’s a cutout where the SD card inserts. This is a pointless guide to be honest.
