Introduction

This guide shows how to completely disassemble the Presto Poplite 04820. Before beginning the disassembly, make sure the popcorn machine is not plugged into the wall and there is no liquid lying around - to ensure you are not harmed during the disassembly.

The Presto PopLite 04820 was made available to consumers on October 2, 2001. This popcorn machine uses both regular or gourmet popcorn kernels and can pop up to 18 cups of popcorn in less than 2 1/2 minutes. The clear plastic chute directs popped popcorn directly into a bowl for easy use. The machine can also be easily cleaned with a wipe.

This device is the Poplite Hot Air Corn Popper, Stock No. 04820.

The device only comes in the color white with yellow details, such as in the main picture of this guide, with dimensions of 6 x 9 x 13.75 inches.

The model number can be found in the bottom part of the machine.

Lift the clear top, removing it from the machine.

Turn the machine upside down, exposing the screws on the bottom.

Remove the three Phillips screws that secure the base plate.

Remove the base plate.

Remove the two Phillips screws securing the main outlet cord.

Remove the main apparatus from the inside of the popcorn machine body.

Begin unscrewing the four screws holding the black motor to the heating element.

Lift the motor off of the heating plate, exposing the wires connecting the two.
The motor powers the fan, marked by the arrow.

After disassembling the Poplite, you can see the interworking of the device.
Once the product is plugged into the wall, there is always voltage circulating the device.
When the device is plugged in, the heating element turns on automatically as well as the motor that powers the fan, allowing air to circulate through the device, allowing the heating element to focus on popping the popcorn.
