What you need

    • Flip the controller over so the backplate is facing up.

    • Use a Phillips #2 screwdriver to remove the eight 7.8 mm screws that secure the rear case.

    • Hold the front case in one hand and pull the rear case off.

    • Use angled tweezers to unclip the bumper spring from the front plate.

    • Lift up the bumper and slide off the bumper axis to remove.
