Installing Modem involves removing the outer case and video card before installation.

  1. Release the back handle of the PowerMac. Slowly pull out the cube by holding the end of the handle. Watch for any parts that may become entangled with the outer case.   3. Slowly lift the plate off the cube and disconnect the power cord.

  6. Remove the screws on the back of the VGA port.
    • Remove the screws on the back of the VGA port.

  7. Remove the screw attaching the video card to the logic board.
    • Remove the screw attaching the video card to the logic board.

  8. Remove power cord from the video card. Remove power cord from the video card.
    • Remove power cord from the video card.

  9. Remove the power cord.
    • Remove the power cord.

    • Remove the connector.

    • Remove the video card from the logic board.

  10. Carefully lift the video card from the logic board.
    • Carefully lift the video card from the logic board.

    • The video card should come out easily.

  11. Separate the video card from the adapter. Separate the video card from the adapter.
    • Separate the video card from the adapter.

  12. Remove the two screws from the modem.
    • Remove the two screws from the modem.

  13. Lift modem from the Logic Board.
    • Lift modem from the Logic Board.

    • The modem should come out easily.
