Porter Cable 690LR Base Panel Replacement

Introduction

This guide will show you the steps to replace the base panel on the Porter Cable 690LR Router. It's quite difficult to mess this one up. Just make sure when you replace the base panel you screw it back in right side up.

What you need

  1. Porter Cable 690LR Base Panel Replacement, Base: step 1, image 1 of 2 Porter Cable 690LR Base Panel Replacement, Base: step 1, image 2 of 2

    • Undo the black latch located on the base of the router by pulling upwards from underneath it.

    • Twist the base off the router.

    • You may need to jiggle the base of the router slightly.

    • Orient the base so the black circular plate is facing you. Locate the three silver screw heads.

    • Use a flathead screwdriver to take off the three 10 mm screws.
