Introduction

Does the sound coming from your device sound rough? Does your device not emit any sound having ruled out the battery or the volume as the cause? Then the speaker may be the problem. This guide goes through the steps necessary to remove the speaker.

Turn the speaker off before disassembling.
  • Turn the speaker off before disassembling.

  • Pull the suction cup from its groove in the back of the speaker by twisting and turning it.

Remove the four 8.5 mm screws from the back panel of the speaker.

Carefully pull the front panel apart from the device.

Detach the plastic speaker connections from  the motherboard using a plastic opening tool.

    • Some force may be necessary to remove the plastic clips.
