Introduction
In this guide, I'll show you how to open the shaver's housing to, for example, replace the battery or perform other repairs.
What you need
-
-
Here you can see the final result with the clips marked, which should make the following steps easier to understand.
-
-
-
The shaving head is not needed for the following steps and is therefore...
-
removed from the main unit.
-
Take the shaver in your hand and pull the shaving head away from the main unit.
-
-
-
Turn the shaver over to its back side, where the only screw to be removed is located.
-
Use the T9 Torx screwdriver to loosen the screw.
-
-
-
-
Before you start, be aware that you must not bend the bottom part far outwards, as it is hooked in at the top of the shaver. If you don't pay attention to this, the retaining tabs will break!
-
Start at the end of the shaver in a small recess to loosen the bottom part with the spudger.
-
Work your way around both sides of the housing with the spudger until it comes loose.
-
-
-
To remove the bottom part, press with your finger against the upper end of the lower housing part, which is still snapped into the top part.
-
The housing snaps out towards the back and bottom.
-
Then, you can remove the lower housing part by pulling it downwards.
-
-
-
Turn the housing over again with the back facing up.
-
Use the spudger to unclip the hooks at the lower end of the housing...
-
... then in the middle...
-
...and finally at the top end.
-
Now you can lift the top housing part off the internal components.
-
-
-
Lay the main unit on its side and...
-
...use the spudger to lift the clips out of the hooks on both sides
-
after that, remove the circuit board cover by lifting it upwards
-
-
-
To loosen it, press the circuit board downwards at the top.
-
if necessary, a little support on the underside might be needed; you can do this with a spudger or your hands.
-
the circuit board lifts up at the bottom.
-
-
-
now you can tip out the circuit board including the battery
-
note that the motor's cables, as well as the battery, are firmly soldered!
-
To reassemble your device, follow the steps in reverse order.
